How the Mercari fee is calculated
Mercari takes 10% of the item price when the sale completes. If you pay for a prepaid Mercari label, its cost is deducted from your balance as well.
Moving money out is free by standard deposit; Instant Pay charges $2 per transfer.
Why a Mercari fee hurts more on cheap items
Drag the price. The percentage part of the fee stays the same, but any fixed charge is spread over fewer dollars, so the share of the sale you lose climbs as the price falls.
